OverviewAcuity, Inc. is looking for a dynamic, proactive, and proven marketer to join and lead the Corporate Marketing team. This role will work across the organization and in close partnership with Business Development, Bids and Proposals, the Solutions Group, and our federal account teams to generate leads and drive strategic growth. This manager has one direct report and shares additional creative resources across our matrixed organization. This position oversees Lead Generation, Content Marketing, PR and Social Media and Digital Design/Content functions.This manager reports to our Vice President of Business Development and will receive subject matter expertise from a seasoned, external government marketing consultant. This manager will own internal/external communications, public and media relations, press releases, social strategy, editorial opportunities, digital marketing, award submissions, content management, and corporate wide awareness and lead generation programs around both our contract vehicle portfolio and our diverse service offerings.This manager develops, executes and reports on a clearly defined marketing and demand generation strategy in a manner that supports consistent business growth and aligns with the overall corporate direction.This role manages a portfolio of marketing programs designed to create awareness, increase relevance and drive profitability across each of our business units.The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of technology and business challenges facing government agencies, and produces and promotes marketing content (social media, eBooks, webinar series, blogs, case studies, landing pages, videos, etc) to support Acuity s marketing initiatives.He/she must have deep experience in market research, content marketing, website management, and campaign management and leverage this experience to strengthen Acuity's position in the Public Sector marketplace. As a strategic member of the Marketing Leadership team, candidates must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be comfortable presenting to executive leadership.This position will be based in our Reston, Virginia office.ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be focused across three key areas of the Acuity Marketing Department; Brand Management, Content Marketing, and Shared Services Support.Brand ManagementDevelop, execute and manage company positioning and messagingWork closely with VP of HR to establish communication and training plans for branding initiatives and programs tied to Acuity's career pages, hiring practices, and recruitment effortsWork closely with leadership to coordinate strategic media opportunities and promote Acuity as a thought leader in Public SectorCreate and ensure compliance of brand management and content development governance structures to guide strategic content creationSupport business development growth and expansion through effective brand awareness, thought leadership, and creative service campaign execution.Maintain centralized library (Acuity Brand Central) to help ensure the entire organization is using most current and approved messaging and assets to promote Acuity s business across all core constituenciesDevelop and manage the Marketing Content Calendar and an Acuity Style Guide to ensure uniform writing style and tone across all communicationsLead Generation and Content MarketingOversee and provide subject matter expertise for advanced market research to develop relevant content and long-term leads in current and target marketsBuild and execute strategic, lead generation plan aligning all corporate campaigns to strategic prioritiesStrategize, develop and deploy content marketing plans in support of team and company objectivesDraft and distribute internal and external marketing communications, including corporate campaigns, awards, notices, press releases, etcOwn and coordinate Marketing Editorial Calendar with input from internal SMEs and stakeholders to ensure alignment across all Business Units and in support of Acuity s business objectives, account plans and strategic growth planSupport Acuity s Content Management System, KnowledgeView to mature development of compelling brand messagesInform digital marketing strategies across corporate website, blog, social media channels and through ABM to drive increased revenue and build brand awareness Create and edit various marketing materials (website, blogs, email campaigns, brochures, video scripts, leadership messaging)Design and review monthly analytic metrics across all channels and make recommendations to improve performance across established KPIs and related metricsMeasure and report effectiveness of all initiatives, course correct as necessaryShared ServicesManage shared services function including graphic designers, copy writers, social media contributors and external vendors to support Acuity business objectivesOversee internal team and external vendors to develop and execute corporate marketing communication strategies and deliverablesHelp establish and manage scalable model for marketing technology partnerships and related services when partnered with AcuityPromote content and campaigns created by vendor marketing team across web and social media channelsAttend leadership meetings and present to executive audiencePrepare and manage Marketing Budgets and expenses effectivelyContribute to events and communications to support Acuity s culture and company moraleOther job-related duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor s degree in business, journalism, communications, mass media, social sciences, or marketingKnowledge of digital marketing, lead generation, government technology marketing and white space analysis6-9 years of marketing experience with at least 2 years of experience in content development and account base marketing best practicesStrong background in managing brand activities for businessAble to articulate IT solutions in a business-focused message and understand the needs of public sector industryExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with CMS (Wordpress or similar) and CRM (Salesforce) SystemsAbility to design and deliver content strategy and branding initiativesProject Management of complex campaign and content plans throughout the project planning lifecyclePublic Sector marketing experience preferred, campaign management collaboration experience a plusExcellent people and relationship-building skills to interact with colleagues, cross-functional teams, and vendor partnersStrong attention to detail, problem solving and decision-making skillsSelf-motivated, self-starter with a track record for leading successful projectsThis job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee.About Acuity, IncAcuity is a leading management and technology consulting firm that specializes in serving the federal government.
