The Director will possess excellent communication, and relationship management and networking skills as well as expertise with data driven metrics and analytics. S/he will demonstrate the ability to interact comfortably with a wide range of constituents and to establish rapport with employees at all levels. S/he will be both a team and consensus builder and an advocate for recruitment throughout the University spearheading efforts to identify and retain the best possible talent.Responsibilities* Develop and execute progressive integrated recruitment solutions using multiple vehicles including direct sourcing, social networking, industry networking, employee referrals, Internet sourcing, job fairs and targeted advertising* Collaborate with Schools and Departments to leverage the University's recruitment system (TalentLink) and maximize its effectiveness to meet recruitment goals* Grow our in-house search services to support executive searches and the recruitment of hard to fill roles* On a per request basis, partner with local Human Resources and hiring managers to develop professional position specifications, evaluate candidate potential and provide advice on hiring* Work with local Human Resources colleagues to facilitate the interview process with the appropriate hiring managers and senior management* Effectively source, recruit and interview best in class candidates for administrative staff positions* Demonstrate thorough understanding of the Columbia's employment brand to ensure cultural fit and technical fit of all candidates* Build strong, credible relationships with senior leaders, hiring managers, critical stakeholders and partners, operating as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert* Plan and implement a social media presence that compliments current university platforms* Deliver continuous improvement in recruitment and selection activities for the organization by introducing innovative recruiting strategies and sourcing initiatives* Partner with EOAA to develop and support workforce diversity initiatives* Ensure alignment of Diversity & Inclusion policies and programs with the organization's culture and talent management initiatives* Use data analytics to track emerging trends and make recommendations for change* Proactively network with potential candidates to ensure pipeline of talent for future openings* Assist in the management of internal recruiting programs/events including exploratory interviewing, career fairs and information sessions* Attend recruiting and diversity events as appropriateMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree required. Minimum 5-7 years' related experience.Preferred QualificationsAdvance degree desirable. Master's degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field preferred. Strong working knowledge of quality improvement, change management, and strategic planning preferred.Other RequirementsMinimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in recruiting. Must be results and goal-oriented individual with the stability, persistence and patience necessary to work effectively with a variety of high functioning internal and external constituents. Excellent problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills.
