Drives vehicles from the staging area into the PIO shop, performs accessory installations and cleans each work area at the end of each shift. Installations may include all accessories performed for each account according to manufacturer s instructions. Meet daily production requirements for PIO installations.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Meet daily PIO installation goals and troubleshoot problems as required. Performs PIO accessory installations according to manufacturer s instructions and guidelines.
Drives vehicle from staging area into the Production Shop work area
Maintain quality and ensure installations are completed according to Quality policy guidelines.
Observe all safety precautions
Prepares vehicle for installation
Obtains appropriate materials from the Parts Department
Notifies Quality Control Inspector when the installation is complete
Corrects any deficiencies noted by Quality Control before the vehicle is returned to staging area for processing.
Maintains a clean and hazard free work environment and follows all policies and procedures regarding safety.
Ability to work assigned hours, overtime, weekends, holidays
Performs other duties as assigned.
High School Diploma or GED
Valid State driver s license and good driving record.
Work in tight spaces and congested quarters. Must be able to endure long periods of standing, kneeling, crouching and bending. Some heavy lifting is required (max 75 lbs for some installations). Manual dexterity. Must have ability to complete installations using hand tools. Some installations may require standing or sitting on a work-stool.
Must have demonstrated mechanical abilities and aptitude.
General working knowledge of automobile components.
Ability to read and write and follow verbal and written instructions and to communicate clear and concise instructions employees.
Ability to drive both automobile and pass driving exam.
Ability to use hand tools; stand, sit walk, bend crouch, use hands/arms, lift, carry, push, pull.
Ability to record and verify numbers 17 characters in length.
Must have demonstrated mechanical abilities.
Must maintain assigned installation tools.
