Current NeedWe are seeking a senior leader to establish the first level Quality Program across the domestic distribution operations network. This senior leadership position will support a nationwide network of finished goods pharmaceutical distribution centers by building a culture of regulatory excellence with a keen focus on education, proactive assessments, solution development and inspection readiness. The position will build a field support team over time and report to the SVP of Distribution Operations. Ideally the position will be located in Irving, TX, however consideration will also be given to qualified candidates located within proximity to McKesson distribution centers.Position DescriptionThe Vice President of Quality Operations is responsible for developing the operations quality strategy and program. The role will ensure that talent, tools and technology are implemented and effectively leveraged to maximize quality processes and compliance across 35+ distribution centers.Key Responsibilities:* Review operational SOPs and provide recommendations to improve SOPs* Develop training materials to increase working knowledge of compliance* Establish format to assess for audit readiness and conduct on-site assessments* Provide training for leaders and team members across the organization* Serve as a first point of contact upon a regulatory agency arriving on site for an inspection.* Manage and review corrective and preventative actions.* Recommend technology and tools to the organization to improve culture of quality* Develop audit readiness scoring and executive reporting content* Lead a geographically dispersed team of up to 10 managersMinimum Requirements* 13+ years of professional experience* 6+ years of leadership experienceCritical Skills* Detailed knowledge of FDA, DEA, State BoP and other regulatory agencies* Deep knowledge of wholesale distribution and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Strong analytical skillsAdditional Knowledge & Skills* Quality management software experience* CAPA experience* Worked in a highly matrixed environmentEducation* 4-year degree in business or related field or equivalent experiencePhysical Requirements* General Office demands* May require up to 50% travel.* Relocation from other McKesson locations may be offered for this position.For Internal Use Only: Career Level: M5McKesson is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
