We are seeking a Financial Manager for the Department of Medicine.

You will:
In collaboration with Senior Leadership plan, develop, implement, analyze, and provide guidance for the fiscal management of assigned Services within the Department of Medicine to meet financial objectives.
Manage day-to-day financial activities.
Control financial resources and ensure that all financial transactions, systems and procedures comply with accounting principles.
Develop and manages internal financial audits
Recommend and implement initiatives, policies and strategies to address budget variances.
Support the annual performance appraisal processes, including division-wide data analysis and reporting.
Responsible for all personnel Workday transactions and payroll related issues.
Work with Leadership to address workflow issues and staffing shortages.
Independently initiate, plan, develop, and implement assigned projects. Solicit input and involvement from stakeholders as part of planning process. Manage assigned projects, from creating plans and timelines, to implementing and following up.


You need:
Bachelor s Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred with 4-7 years of relevant experience.
8 years related experience in financial management and budget preparation in lieu of a Bachelor s degree.
Healthcare experience strongly preferred.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Advanced knowledge spreadsheets and database applications, such as Excel and Access. Ability to use and create Advanced Excel Formulas and Pivot Tables is preferred.
Cognos reporting experience preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to make presentations, lead teams, prepare reports etc.
Advanced budget preparation and budget analysis skills needed to ensure comprehensive management of divisional budgets, expenditure and related activity.
Must have excellent organizational and analytical skills, strong interpersonal skills to effectively participate in problem identification and resolution.
Excellent project management skills.

Hours:
Monday-Friday; 9:00am-5:00pm
