We are seeking an engaging leader to manage operations of our Housing Department, including all MSK-owned residential properties. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with robust residential and/or hospitality management experience, as well as people management skills.

You will:
Supervise and guide all Housing services staff (e.g., Superintendents, Mechanical, Painting, and Residential Housing Maintenance Aides).
Assure consistent technical and managerial support for all Housing Operations on a 24 hour/7 day basis (We will provide an MSK designated apartment to the Property Manager).
Direct supervisory responsibilities for the daily activities of Residential Door Attendant (RDA) services which are provided at select MSK Housing properties.
Facilitate and ensure the smooth and efficient operation for all RDA services, making sure that posts are covered and that staff present provide attentive service to the needs of the residents.


You need:
A High School diploma (GED); Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience in residential and/or hospitality management is essential.
Excellent supervisory skills required, including experience with performance appraisals, corrective action, etc.
Familiarity with the proficiency requirements for various trades is required.
Knowledge of applicable City, State and Federal Building Department codes and any requirements from said agencies for the effective management of the Center s real estate portfolio. Must have the ability to work independently and the knowledge to take action when required.
Requires oral and written communication skills to write reports, prepare and give presentations to staff, and discuss work orders with a variety of personnel throughout the institution.
Requires administrative skills to organize work among various Housing maintenance staff, Facilities Department shops, and external contractors.
Should be able to plan and coordinate meetings, record and process data, requisitions and purchasing/inventory documents and plan/coordinate schedules for sequencing work of various staff and trades to best accomplish desired results.
This position requires the ability to access and retrieve information from the Center s database systems and working proficiencies with Microsoft Office Suite products.
Property management and/or hospital experience required for external applicants; internal applicants with at least 5 years of MSK management experience will be considered.


As mentioned above, we will provide an MSK designated apartment to the Property Manager along with a parking spot in Manhattan.
