Senior Project Manager

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the launch planning and oversight of the project lifecycle across agency accounts in digital and print. They have extensive experience in managing digital tactics and delivering development assets. As a senior resource of the Project Management team they embody leadership and professionalism in how they respond to changing conditions and the pressures of delivery. They are a role model for the department and representative of our values. The Senior Project Manager also works to develop or mentor Project Coordinators and Project Managers.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Advocate agency, client, and regulatory submission processes
  • Ownership of projects timelines, quality and financial health
  • Create estimates and timelines for manager and agency review
  • Revise estimates and timelines based on project direction
  • Plan and lead launches and project kickoffs
  • Ensure project briefs are accurate and team is in agreement
  • Partner with agency development partners to ensure success in digital tactics
  • Convene the project team at critical points to resolve issues
  • Escalate issues to senior manager when appropriate
  • Oversee organization of all project-related Job Site documents on Unifile
  • Monitor and understand hours logged against projects
  • Anticipate overages and plan solutions with account services and finance lead
  • Prepare for and attend weekly finance meetings
  • Keep project team informed with the information they need to successfully execute their roles on the project
  • Attend weekly client status meetings, as required
  • Impart best practices onto department s Project Coordinators or Project Managers and contribute to their success and growth through mentorship

Other Responsibilities

  • Faithfully implement agency s Job Flow Process (JFP), including eRouting process
  • Assist with Coordinator tasks as needed, including creating job numbers, status reports, meeting invites, data entry and other
  • Track, organize and action all project-related email communications
  • Lead departmental initiatives and represent the department in agency initiatives
  • Other responsibilities as needed to fulfill the objectives of the role

  • Maintain accurate time sheets on a daily basis

  • Additional responsibilities that arise and deemed appropriate by the agency


  • College degree
  • 5+ years project management experience in pharmaceutical advertising or related industry managing projects from kickoff to delivery in digital and print
  • Project Manager experience leading launches
  • Must be highly organized and an effective, professional communicator
  • Professional experience using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
