CNC Lathe Machinist


Our client has been a manufacturing industry leader in the West Bridgewater area for over 45 years.  Due to growth we are currently searching motivated and dedicated candidates to fill their open positions.


CNC Lathe Machinist Duties include:


         Stop machines to remove finished pieces or to change tooling, setup, piece placement, according to required machining sequences.


         Measure dimensions of finished piece to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.


         Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments.


         Transfer commands from servers to computer numerical control (CNC) modules, using computer network links.


         Set up and operate computer-controlled machines to perform one or more machine functions on metal pieces.


         Review program specifications or blueprints to determine and set machine operations and sequencing, finished piece dimensions, or numerical control sequences.




Requirements include:


         Minimum of three years experience in a machine shop, or one-year experience in a machine shop if a vocational school graduate.


         Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles.


         Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.


         High school diploma or GED required


         Knowledge of CAD software, CAM software, enterprise resource planning ERP software a plus.
